My earliest inspiration from your TV Show was Kan Mehtarzai, where you talked about the highest Railway Station in the World for the Narrow gauge. I was fortunate to have served in NCHD where we had offices in almost all the Districts of Pakistan and I got the opportunity to go by road from Islamabad to Quetta, via DI Khan, Zhob, Qilla Saifullah and Pishin. Though the Railway Line between Muslim (Hindu) Bagh and Kuchlaak was barely visible, I did manage to see some places in Kan Mehtarzai, where it was still intact. The road between DI Khan and Zhob had not been built in 2007, when I went the first time. The highlight of the journey was the stretch at Kafar Kot, the border town between NWFP and Baluchistan, where the road has been literally chiseled out of the narrow gorge. Kudos to you Sir.

The railway line should never have been permitted to die. But that is what Pakistan appears to have been created for: to see how quickly a state begotten amid mass killings can be dismantled.
