Some hardcore and historical research in Pakistan. Great job done. Thanks for showing the history as it unfolded instead of just painting Alexander as hero. I wonder why every one considers him a hero?

I have been reading and commenting at Tribune Express but you never answered. For me, your articles are opportunity for self-aggrandisement. Will follow you here.

Hami, Anonymous, Ratnadip, Nayyar and Arthur. Thank you all very much. You make it all worthwhile. Thank you. Thank you. I have just one video tape marked Nagri, nagri etc. It might contain four or five episodes of the lot of nineteen that I made for PTV. I have to have that converted to digital. Will take me a bit. Please bear with me.
Self-aggrandisment? No way. Whenever I receive an email, I always respond. I don't recall ever receiving one from you, Ratnadip.

I saw 7 episodes, It seems to be missing part of " On the footstep of Alexander " by Micheal wood. And trully feel that you are Micheal wood of Pakistan.

In Episode 9 you mention about the city which left empty and people ran another place that place possible Harrapa and the one place where Alexander attack near Ravi possible that is Bavaani. The ruins of this mound/fort is adjacent to 3 to 5 kilometer form River ravi and round 30 miles harrapa adjcent to Present day Sahiwal.

Ali Raza, the city that was abandoned by its inhabitants was mentioned with reference to that savage Temur the Lame was Tulamba. Alexander also fought a battle here against a small Multani force. I have not seen Bavani. Will try to get there when the weather improves a bit. But please do give me some more detail on this place, that is, nearest big town etc.

I am talking about according to eposide 9, after occuping Kot Kamilia, Axlender's General occuy another fort near Ravi. If you see this place it is other side of side of rive side near sahiwal. But i feel shame for local people that they made this place like a pulblic shit house. small mosque outside the mound decribe that last layer for certainly muslim. I mentioned this place on my personal blog also attached but little misspelled. Local people called this place "Bavaani Sangaliyaa dee" Sangaal is sub cast of Jangli people and the area near Sahiwal "Noor shah" full of this cast of people. http://tech.alirazazaidi.com/bawanni-the-lost-city

In Imperial Gazetteer of India 1900 the name of city is also found, it think place is also occupied by Alexndar which name is not mentioned and you described in video that marks of that ruined city is lost. Sorry to say you have to read whole page.

Excellent videos! If the commentary is in English, I think it can be taken to larger audience. Are there any plans to re-shoot in English?

At 24 September 2014 at 18:28, Anonymous Salman Rashid said...

No sir. No plans to do it in English. In fact, with the spate of substandard TV channels, there is no more any demand for substantial work. They all want glamour. ONLY.

Sad to know about it. I live in Hyderabad, India. Though many people can understand Hindi/Urdu here, it would reach more people if it is in English. This is great work and should be taken to young kids to understand history in right perspective. How about creating an e-book in English?

My work is to write and when I was asked I did the documentary. I know nothing about e-books. Don't want to dive into unknown waters.

one really misses our ancestors of thousands of years ago afetr watching all this, but the main thing is ideology, what religion they followed was it divine? or even if it was did the people properly follow it? what about the clash btw buddhism and hinduism? i watched debate bte dr. zakir naik and ravi shri shankar, was india really waiting for Muhammad s.a.w? if so, hind has an ideological journey of its own.
